In Ponga Room / Ruma Ponga we strive to create warm, caring and respectful relationships with our young children / ngā tamariki and families / ngā whānau.
Our teachers are dedicated and passionate about supporting your growing baby / pēpē, following respectful practices to provide experiences to support all our ngā pēpē at different stages of their learning journey.
In Ruma Ponga we focus on developing a strong sense of belonging and confidence in our ngā pēpē in an environment that allows them to learn and thrive at their own pace. Having flexible routines that are similar to home enables us to meet your babies’ needs, allowing them to reach their next phase of development in their own time.
The symbolism of the ponga (silver fern) for many New Zealanders is a sense of pride and belonging, the elegant shape of the fronds stands for strength, resilience and power. In Ruma Ponga we believe our ngā pēpē unfurl like the beautiful silver fern: unfurling as they grow and thrive; showing their strength and courage as they reach towards their full potential as learners.
